Provide a complete graphic solution for a new dynamic and interactive visitor attraction, including reproduction of historical imagery.
The attraction was to be housed in a converted WW2 hangar, meaning a vast space needed to be transformed and filled with a variety of engaging and interactive elements. Sample testing at planning stage was vital to find the best process and materials to achieve consistency across the exhibition.
Reproducing historical imagery required careful colour management, whilst the variety of elements required use of a range of different substrates to produce the best result possible, including AV projection backdrops and one-piece wall canvas graphics stretching beyond 14m either side.
“From winning the tender back in 2017, to attending the grand opening by HRH Prince Harry and Lewis Hamilton MBE, every element of this project instilled pride in The Creative Place team. The prestige of playing a part in bringing the history to life for thousands of visitors felt like a huge responsibility to uphold the vision of the museum, and raised the bar more than ever to ensure the finish was perfect.”

Reproducing historical imagery required careful colour management, whilst the variety of elements required use of a range of different substrates to produce the best result possible, including AV projection backdrops and one-piece wall canvas graphics stretching beyond 14m either side.
Our GMG colour management system handles calibration to adjust for reproduction of historical imagery ensuring we had every confidence in producing a seamless result across a range of different media, all of which were specified in the detailing of the project.
