Working alongside production teams from the BBC and Royal Albert Hall to strict timelines, all graphics must be produced and finished to the highest standard and press-passed by the client on our production floor, prior to install in time for the First Night of the Proms.
Consistency of colour management is essential across a range of different media, as is the standard of trimming and stitching by our finishing department. Installing in such an iconic venue comes with its own challenges, and overall planning and project management is essential to delivering an outstanding result year on year.
“During our 10 years working with the BBC Proms we have refined this solution several times, from the acrylic system we initially inherited through use of foamex panels, both of which scratched easily, and now to the TFS framework we have crafted specifically to fit the purpose. The challenge was always to display big, bold graphics around the corridors of the venue, however being a circular building this was never an easy task! Plus, the heritage of the Royal Albert Hall prohibits drilling into the walls, and all fixings must attach via a picture rail fixing. The framework system we developed is designed and fabricated to perfectly follow the curvature of the walls, and allows the graphic content to be cost effectively updated year on year and look brand new every time.”

TFS systems provide a really versatile and punchy solution to displaying graphics, and can be created at virtually any size. The framework itself can either be wall mounted or freestanding, with the fabric inserted by a simple pushfit, meaning contents can be updated with a simple and cost-effective reprint. Including LED illumination adds further impact by backlighting the graphic which gives colours a real punch.
